Who are we?

Barrelhouse Rugby Club was established in around 1982 by a few expatriates here in the UAE. Since then we have had representatives from all over the world competing in the mighty pink jersey! The jersey itself tells a story. When playing in the barrelhouse kit you are inviting all walks of life and age to join you in what is an incredible game. We at barrelhouse are an inclusive club that operates more like a family. With our preseason functions to our annual AGM meeting we encourage every member from the first to the most recent to reach out to the next potential rugby player and invite him to our Club. Please look down this page and meet some of our heroes in pink of the Barrelhouse Rugby Club.

Where are we?

Barrelhouse has been pretty successful over the years, winning many trophies at the Dubai 7’s from Vets to Gulf Men’s open, most recently the Gulf Men’s Social and you are encouraged to play a part in the club’s future success by either making yourself available for selection or supporting the teams at events.

Not only do we play rugby at all the local competitions, but we like to ply our trade internationally… with an annual tour that is the culmination of hours of planning in the bar! Some epic tours of the past have included Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Warsaw, Krakow, to name a few… this is normally towards the end of the season, and sign ups normally start at the Dubai 7s, and into January.

Barrelhouse is a fellowship of like-minded individuals, who come together annually at the Dubai 7’s in the BP stand or the Grassy Knowl... When we are there in our BH shirt or hat, you will directly spot us, pop in to our tent, have a bear. Guests are always welcome.

Why Pink?

We lost precious family members to Breast Cancer, and we have chosen our Club Social Responsibility to be the fight of the valiants against Breast Cancer. Oh.. and because real valiants wear pink!!
